1. Product Overview
The IndusKey INK332 is an industrial-grade digital oil-in-water sensor engineered for continuous online monitoring of dissolved and emulsifiable oils in industrial process and wastewater applications. Featuring advanced ultraviolet fluorescence sensing technology with an integrated automatic cleaning brush, the INK332 delivers accurate, stable measurements with minimal manual intervention.
The sensor employs RS-485 communication with standard MODBUS RTU protocol, enabling seamless integration into existing industrial control systems, PLCs, and SCADA platforms. All calibration data is stored internally within the sensor memory, facilitating true plug-and-play installation. With its 316L stainless steel housing rated to IP68, the INK332 is built for reliable long-term operation in demanding environments. Titanium (Ti) body option available for highly corrosive applications.
2. Technical Principle
Measurement Technology
The INK332 employs the ultraviolet fluorescence method for oil-in-water measurement. Aromatic hydrocarbon compounds present in oil absorb UV excitation light and emit characteristic fluorescence at specific wavelengths. A precision photodetector captures the emission intensity, which exhibits a direct linear correlation with oil concentration in the sample.
Signal Processing
Advanced digital signal conditioning processes the raw photodetector output through built-in calibration parameters to produce stable, temperature-compensated concentration readings. Linearity exceeds R² > 0.999 across the full measurement range, ensuring high-precision quantitative results.
Communication Protocol
The INK332 implements standard MODBUS RTU protocol over RS-485 physical layer. This industry-standard communication interface enables multi-drop networking. The protocol supports read/write operations for measurement data, calibration coefficients, and device configuration, allowing direct integration with PLCs, DCS, and SCADA systems.
